It is really hard not to be stressed nowadays. The society that we built became so demanding that we get overwhelmed by the amount of stress we experience in our everyday lives. 5 times a week entire day we work and then still have to take care of so many problematic things. We have to pay bills, make appointments, make sure our children are doing fine at school and other things are occupying our minds constantly. One of our biggest goals in our healing studio is to make sure that our clients get rid of the daily stress. We want to share our knowledge with you and offer you a few ways of living a stress-free life.
Everything good starts with positivity and you should also start being more positive. No matter how stressful life is, you need to bring as much positivity into it as you can. Obviously, you can’t be blindly positive when things are going wrong, but you can always try to see the bright side of things. Simply doing it can be life changing and things that were stressful before could even be enjoyable.
Accept your limitations and you will feel better. Not everyone is a strong person. Some of us are actually mentally weak and we need different approach in life. No matter how much you want to achieve every goal you have or problem every problem, you can not do it at the same time, especially in one day. Things in life are rarely so urgent that it requires your full effort. There is always time to take a break and to relax. Not doing it will only make things work as you will be overwhelmed and eventually become much less productive that you could be if you take a rest sometimes. Know your limits and be realistic about how much you can do in a single day.
Start doing physical activities. Starting exercise is one of the best ways of relieving stress. Not only it will make you fitter and stronger, but it will also make you feel better. Start doing Yoga, as it is an amazing way of both exercising and relaxing. You don’t need to become an athlete and have false expectations. Simply start doing it once or twice a week and progress from there once you feel comfortable. Once again, know your limits here as well and make sure you set realistic goals that you can stick with.
Use your time wisely and you will achieve more with the less stress. Time management is not a topic only for the corporate world and the people who want to meet their work deadlines. It is important for everyone. Every day all of us have 24 hours – You, me or president of the United States. It is up to us how we use it. For lots of people stressful day begins in the morning when they are late for work. Simply avoiding going to bed late and waking up 30 minutes earlier will eliminate that problem for you. Then see if you waste tons of time in between tasks. Analyze your day and try to make it as efficient as possible. That way you won’t be under time pressure ever.
Learn how to enjoy life and spend your time having fun. Even if you have a busy schedule, it is crucial to relax and have fun once in a while. It won’t be the end of the world if you go out on Friday, watch a movie or have a giant cheeseburger (or both). If you do not eliminate the stress at the end of the week, it will build up and destroy your productivity after some time.
Sleep well. Even if you have to take some time from other stuff, do it and get a good sleep. It is extremely important to sleep well. It is individual how much sleep you need. For some people, 6 hours is completely enough and for some even 8 hours is little. No matter how much you need, do not avoid sleeping to save some time. It will only harm you in the long run.
Start meditating and clear your head. Meditation is one of the best techniques you can do to reduce stress levels in your body. It simply relaxes you and puts you in a higher state where you are stronger than your stress. There are tons of meditation guides online and if you want to practice with the group and instructor, we offer classes on Wednesdays and Fridays.
